8 Sessions · 4 Sundays · 10 AM – 6 PM
Two sessions every Sunday with a break between. You leave each Sunday with something finished, not just notes.
You go home with a set of landscape frames shot fully in manual.
You go home with one styled, lit and edited food photograph.
You go home with a cut Reel made from footage you shot that day.
You go home with a retouched studio portrait from your own morning shoot.
Already done it twice
Software engineers, doctors, management professionals, students, homemakers and entrepreneurs — full days of DSLR basics and camera settings, half theory and half hands-on, and a certificate for everyone at the end. Chennai is the long-format version of the same teaching.

Gowri Shankar is a cinematographer and photography educator with 14+ years of teaching experience across India's leading film and media institutions. He holds a Diploma in Film Technology (Cinematography) from MGR Government Film & Television Institute, Chennai — and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering, which gives him a uniquely technical yet creative teaching approach.
He has trained hundreds of students at BOFTA Film Institute, LIVE at Loyola College, Mindscreen Film Institute, DeSIFMA Film Academy and KAPA Photography Academy — and has worked alongside Cinematographer Omprakash on feature films and advertisement productions. His specializations include Food, Newborn, Maternity, Pet & Lifestyle Photography.
